Many thanks to netgalley for this ARC。 I loved the first two in the series and the last installment did not disappoint! We hear from beloved known characters and meet new ones too。 This book is very relational, just at the first two were and I think that’s a strength of the book。 I really enjoyed reading it。
Vlorini,
This third, and last book in the trilogy, is the best yet! Fills in so many stories, we thought we knew, and gives us a new perspective on many of these beloved, and not so beloved characters。 Thank you to Alka Joshi and Mira Books for allowing me to read this galley。
J。,
This is the final volume in the Jaipur Trilogy。 It continues the story that began with The Henna Artist。 The main character in this volume is Radha, the young sister of Lakshmi, who had moved to Paris。 She is now the mother of two and embarking on an exciting career as a perfumist。 The story points out that the challenges of being a working, independent woman are not confined to India。 Radha's husband has trouble accepting the importance she places on her work。 And old memories from the past of This is the final volume in the Jaipur Trilogy。 It continues the story that began with The Henna Artist。 The main character in this volume is Radha, the young sister of Lakshmi, who had moved to Paris。 She is now the mother of two and embarking on an exciting career as a perfumist。 The story points out that the challenges of being a working, independent woman are not confined to India。 Radha's husband has trouble accepting the importance she places on her work。 And old memories from the past of the son she left behind are resurfacing with greater frequency。 She returns to India to find answers for her perfume and herself。 。。。more

I can't thank NetGalley enough for allowing me to read the digital ARC for "The Perfumist of Paris"。 I have been a devoted reader of Alka Joshi's and have been eagerly awaiting the second, "The Secret Keeper of Jaipur" and the conclusion "The Perfumist of Paris" since I finished "The Henna Artist"。 I thought it was beautiful to see the story ark begin with Radha and end with her。 Radha's journey through life has been one I have been captivated by。 Radha begins as this bold, powerful character at I can't thank NetGalley enough for allowing me to read the digital ARC for "The Perfumist of Paris"。 I have been a devoted reader of Alka Joshi's and have been eagerly awaiting the second, "The Secret Keeper of Jaipur" and the conclusion "The Perfumist of Paris" since I finished "The Henna Artist"。 I thought it was beautiful to see the story ark begin with Radha and end with her。 Radha's journey through life has been one I have been captivated by。 Radha begins as this bold, powerful character at a young 13 years old, to then be so close to becoming a perfumer in Paris and then come face to face with her past。 Radha's journey has truly been a battle of emotions and understanding oneself as well as others。 Will the danger that has always been on the horizon strike? Can Radha let her guard down? Will Radha's past destroy or absolve her? I could not put this book down。 While I am hungry for another book, I am satiated and satisfied with the story。 I will eagerly wait until this book comes out in stores and will buy a physical copy to keep next to its predecessors。 。。。more

As a loyal fan of Alka Joshi, I suspected that I would love this story。 Yet it exceeded my expectations。If you have not read the first two books in this trilogy, I strongly encourage you to do so before reading “The Perfumist of Paris。”As mentioned in previous reviews, Joshi brilliantly brings the sights and smells of Paris and India to life in her stories。Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC。If this is the last in this series, I am truly going to miss these characters。 But I ea As a loyal fan of Alka Joshi, I suspected that I would love this story。 Yet it exceeded my expectations。If you have not read the first two books in this trilogy, I strongly encourage you to do so before reading “The Perfumist of Paris。”As mentioned in previous reviews, Joshi brilliantly brings the sights and smells of Paris and India to life in her stories。Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC。If this is the last in this series, I am truly going to miss these characters。 But I eagerly look forward to Joshi’s next novel。 Another extremely enthusiastic five stars。 Highly recommended! 。。。more

First of all, I am so grateful to Alka and her publisherspublisher’sng me this arc in exchange for my honest review。 Thank you!I loved the vivid descriptions of all of the items that Radha used in her perfume creations。 In addition, the parts following Niki’s entrance into the story were my favorite — I could see the main character struggling and facing herself honestly and lovingly with the entrance of this character into her life。 Radha’s journey was like a beautiful butterfly opening its wing First of all, I am so grateful to Alka and her publisherspublisher’sng me this arc in exchange for my honest review。 Thank you!I loved the vivid descriptions of all of the items that Radha used in her perfume creations。 In addition, the parts following Niki’s entrance into the story were my favorite — I could see the main character struggling and facing herself honestly and lovingly with the entrance of this character into her life。 Radha’s journey was like a beautiful butterfly opening its wings。 I truly enjoyed the additional pages。 Alka did a wonderful job of wrapping up the plot of all three of her books with this last book in the series。 。。。more
Ellie Rosser,
Thank you everyone for this early copy of The Perfumist of Paris! Best book of the series, by far。 I loved the connection to the other books, the mystery, the culture clash, the redemption。 Joshi does a wonderful job with her descriptions and illustrations of the different cultures。 Loved every moment, and wanted more!
Anne,
There's lots to love about The Perfumist of Paris, the final (and eagerly-awaited) book in Alka Joshi's Jaipur Trilogy。 Ms。 Joshi is a master storyteller, and here she focuses in on Radha, Lakshmi's younger sister, bringing her to life in unexpected ways。 Since I had lived in Paris for 2 years in the early 70's, I enjoyed walking those streets with Radha as she struggled to succeed in her field。 I like how we were brought up to date on the lives of those back home in Shimla and felt it was a ver There's lots to love about The Perfumist of Paris, the final (and eagerly-awaited) book in Alka Joshi's Jaipur Trilogy。 Ms。 Joshi is a master storyteller, and here she focuses in on Radha, Lakshmi's younger sister, bringing her to life in unexpected ways。 Since I had lived in Paris for 2 years in the early 70's, I enjoyed walking those streets with Radha as she struggled to succeed in her field。 I like how we were brought up to date on the lives of those back home in Shimla and felt it was a very satisfying end to the trilogy。 I'm a big Alka Joshi fan and look forward to whatever stories she dreams up next! 。。。more
Revati,
I haven’t read this book yet, but I’ve entered the giveaway to receive a print ARC - I already know it will be a 5-star read based on how the first two books of the trilogy went!
Mary Ann,
The Perfumist of Paris was a great conclusion to the Jaipur Trilogy。 Radha's story was interesting and emotional。 We also get to see the rest of the cast from the first two books and see how their lives are progressing。 I really liked how the author wrapped up everyone's stories because I felt like I have known all of the characters for a long time and was invested in them。 Radha is living in Paris and working hard to learn all about scents and perfume。 She is challenged with creating a unique s The Perfumist of Paris was a great conclusion to the Jaipur Trilogy。 Radha's story was interesting and emotional。 We also get to see the rest of the cast from the first two books and see how their lives are progressing。 I really liked how the author wrapped up everyone's stories because I felt like I have known all of the characters for a long time and was invested in them。 Radha is living in Paris and working hard to learn all about scents and perfume。 She is challenged with creating a unique scent and travels back to India to gather special ingredients。 Radha doesn't have the perfect home life as her husband doesn't understand her need to work outside the home。Radha also has the secret from her past of having Niki。 Noone in her present knows about him, but he makes his existence known after finding letters that Kanta (his adoptive mother) has written to Radha over the years。 Radha had returned every letter unopened to Kanta, who had kept them all after they were returned。 Niki sets out to discover who Radha is and why she is returning letters to his mom which sets off a chain of events that changes everything for Rahda。As with the other books in this trilogy, I loved how vivid the descriptions were。 I could almost smell the scents that were described。 I also thought that the technical information about perfumes was fascinating。 I couldn't believe how Radha and her colleagues could break down a perfume to individual scents simply with their noses! Joshi did a wonderful job of describing the social climate of the times and the attitude toward women which I believe is an important part of the story。 The Perfumist of Paris is a must read- especially if you have read the first two in the series。 It is an informative and complex conclusion to the stories of the characters we met in the first two books, as well as introducing new characters that I grew to love。 。。。more

I cannot wait until this book comes out and to see this cover in person! 。。。more
Sara Oliver,
I am privileged to have gotten a super early copy of Alka Joshi's third novel, THE PERFUMIST OF PARIS。 I adored the first two of the trilogy, but this one is even more special。 Joshi is a master story teller, weaving in gorgeous descriptions of colors, scents, and foods。 The beautiful descriptions do not stop there。 Evidence of her research into research into the fragrance industry is top notch。 This story goes deeper into complex women's issues that are rarely discussed in such detail。 The push I am privileged to have gotten a super early copy of Alka Joshi's third novel, THE PERFUMIST OF PARIS。 I adored the first two of the trilogy, but this one is even more special。 Joshi is a master story teller, weaving in gorgeous descriptions of colors, scents, and foods。 The beautiful descriptions do not stop there。 Evidence of her research into research into the fragrance industry is top notch。 This story goes deeper into complex women's issues that are rarely discussed in such detail。 The push pull of being a modern woman (with a blossoming career), mother, wife, sister, and friend is on display here for us to see in all their tragic and triumphant beauty。 Radha's story is so relatable and beautifully told。 I literally read it in one day。 My prediction is that THE PERFUMIST OF PARIS will be the most impactful of the trilogy! 。。。more
